Day 15: Owl Be Seeing You

Another lunch time at Hatston, this time joined by my wife for a lunch date, and she spotted the owl. I have seen it a few times here and always wanted a good picture of it. While this picture has a lot of noise (artefacts in the image due to too much light which creates a ‘speckled’ effect … If I remember correctly), something I need to work on with the ol’ Exposure Triangle, I still like this shot. I had around 40 seconds from seeing it, to grabbing my camera and getting a pic before it was gone. Given I am still not super fast at picking the right settings for the environment I feel this wasn’t too bad. A little more practice and I will get there. I could have stayed on Program or Auto, but I am loving being in Manual mode and being forced to learn from my mistakes.
