Day 32: A Folkestone Evening

Holy Trinity Church in Folkestone.
With a beautiful evening as a backdrop, the Holy Trinity Church stood silent and still – a sentinel of stone watching over our departure, its spire catching dreams before they vanished into sky.

Yesterday was Orkney to Milton Keynes. Today was Milton Keynes to Folkestone. We have an evening here to meet up with some friends we have missed dearly, rest, and then it’s off to Maastricht for a night.

Walking into our room in Folkestone I found this was to be our view for the night. This kind of view became somewhat of a theme as each hotel we stayed in had a view of a church. I’m not a religious man, but I do appreciate the architecture. The evening was beautiful and this view was peaceful (unlike the flock of seagulls that went squawking overhead moments earlier). I had to capture it.
